Study on immune response of children with autism found exception

Autism is a brain disorder that attacks young children, the incidence of 2 per thousand to 5 per thousand, mostly in children at the age of 3 can be confirmed. Autism of unknown causes, the symptoms include the communication barrier and repetitive behavior. To enhance the understanding of biological mechanisms of autism, diagnosis and treatment to find better ways, University of California researchers conducted a study on the blood of children with autism.

Researchers currently in Boston, held the 4th International Conference on autism research report that they in one study from 2-5 30 autistic children and 26 children of separating out the immune cells in the blood, to mix with toxins and bacteria to observe its responses. Researchers in experimental bacteria found in the results, low immune signaling protein levels of children with autism, the abnormal immune response to a plant protein, but for other toxins, such as measles, mumps, and rubella response properly.

Another group of researchers from the same University on 70 autistic children taken from 4-6 and 35 normal blood samples for the comparative analysis. They pointed out that autistic children immune system produced in the bone marrow produces higher than normal levels of granular cells and lymphocytes respectively and 20%, other protein levels in the blood vary. Granular lymphocytes to kill tumor cells.

Researchers believe that the research results reveal the future possibility of using blood tests early warning of autism. Study on biological indicators of autism help find autism prevention approaches; even if Autism not prevention, early in the lives of sick children for treatment also helps to improve their future life.
